Event:  In February, we will hear C-STAR - Carroll Students Transitioning to Adult Roles
Traditionally, classrooms have been surrounded by four walls tucked safely within a school building.  Research has shown if we expect students with intellectual disabilities to live, learn, work, and play in their community after graduation, we must allow for experience prior to graduation in environments in which these skills will later be used.  The Carroll Independent  School District’s C-STAR Program is looking forward to partnering with more businesses in our community for vocational training and employment of these young adults.

Location: Hilton Dallas/Southlake Town Square

There is no charge for members.

RECOMMEND A SPEAKER

As you might suspect, the Southlake Executive Forum has a reputation for presenting very talented and successful speakers to our group.  Please review the list of previous guest speakers for added information.

That said, we are always looking for presenters who can bring a value added message of interest to the organization.  If you know of someone that might fit into this category, please contact our Chair for Presenters, Richard Wilhelm, to get this individual on our consideration list.
